Sage 100 Contractor alternative
We're not trying to replace your accounting. Sage 100 is solid for G/L, AP/AR, and payroll. But the field-side (daily reports, RFIs, change orders, productivity, QAQC, safety) is where Sage shows its age — and that's where Field PM shines. Run both: Sage for books, Field PM for the field.
Sage 100 Contractor — Construction ERP / accounting for small-to-mid contractors. Strong G/L, AP/AR, payroll, and job costing; widely criticized for dated UX and weak mobile / field tools.

No — and we don't recommend it. Sage 100 is a real ERP with G/L, AP/AR, payroll, and accounting workflows that Field PM doesn't (and won't) replicate. What Field PM does is give you a modern field-facing layer on top of Sage: daily reports, PM dashboards, RFIs, QAQC, safety. The two systems coexist.
Today via CSV: Field PM exports manhours, change orders, invoices, and cost-code spend in formats Sage can import. A direct Sage API connector isn't built yet — it's on the roadmap if enough customers ask. For most contractors the CSV path is fine since you're only syncing weekly or biweekly.
Sage 100's PM features are functional but dated — slow mobile experience, limited offline support, no real-time productivity tracking, no S-curve forecasting, no modern customer portal. Field crews avoid using them, which means data goes uncaptured or gets entered late. Field PM is built for the field-first workflow that Sage wasn't designed for.
Project lists, customers, employees, cost codes, and budget data import via CSV — these are all standard Sage exports. Historical job-cost detail can be migrated but it's rarely worth it; most contractors start fresh in Field PM for new projects and let in-flight Sage jobs finish in Sage.
For contractors who need real accounting (not just job costing) plus a modern field tool, yes. Sage 100 + Field PM at $99-499/mo is typically cheaper than the all-in-one ERPs (Spectrum, Vista, Acumatica Construction) that bundle accounting + field but charge $300-1000+/user/mo with multi-year contracts.
Same logic applies — Field PM coexists with any construction ERP as the field-facing layer. We've had contractors run Field PM alongside Sage 300, Trimble Spectrum, Viewpoint Vista, Acumatica Construction, and Foundation Software. CSV-based exports cover all of them.
