Honestly — they're comparable on the service workflow itself. Jobber has a more polished UI and better client-portal animations. Field PM matches Jobber feature-for-feature on dispatch, mobile tech, pricebook, and SMS, with the upside that you can layer on construction PM if you grow into new-construction work or installations.
Field PM. Jobber doesn't have construction PM features — no project budgets, no daily field reports for crew installs, no productivity tracking by cost code. If you bid out a $200K install job and want to track it like a project (not a service call), you need PM features Jobber doesn't ship.
Yes via CSV exports for customers, equipment history, pricebook items, technicians, and recurring contracts. Jobber's export tool covers all of these. Plan an afternoon for the import + a week to rebuild pricebook bundles in Field PM's good/better/best format.
Most of the pieces — customer texts for on-my-way / arrived / complete, online estimate review with signature capture, and a customer portal for invoice payment status. We don't have animated branded postcards or as many marketing automation features as Jobber's upper tiers — those are on the roadmap but not shipped yet.

The portal shows invoice status today. Online payment via Stripe Connect is being implemented when customers ask for it — there's an architectural decision to use Stripe Connect (not "we hold your money") so each contractor gets paid directly. Open the customer-portal Pay button when the deferred feature ships.
